Cleansing Is The Most Important Part Of Your Skincare Routine

Below are some simple but vital choices you could make for your cleansing routine. These will ensure you nurture and protect your skin through the winter season and come out shining in spring :)
REPEAT AFTER ME:
- I WILL TAKE CLEANSING SERIOUSLY
It's common to rush through the cleansing part of our skin care routine. We just can’t wait to get to the serums and creams. BUT, cleansing is actually the most important part of your routine! Thats right! Cleansing is like preparing a canvas, it sets the stage for how your skin will receive and absorb the goodness of the rest of your products. So, take your time with the process and choose your cleanser wisely.
- I WILL USE FRAGRANCE FREE, ESSENTIAL OIL FREE CLEANSER
Fragrance is amazing, we love delicious smells, but they don’t belong in your skin care. If you see an added essential oil or fragrance in your cleanser, chances are it is irritating or sensitizing to your skin - not a good beginning to a skin care routine. So choose fragrance free!
- I WILL START WITH AN OIL CLEANSER
This technique has been around for centuries in many cultures. The reason it’s still a thing is because it WORKS! An oil cleanser effortlessly binds with the excess oils/makeup on your face and softly dissolves the gunk, without stripping the skin. This leaves your skin feeling completely protected, soft and luxurious.
- I WILL DOUBLE CLEANSE
You should use a gentle foam cleanser that will help wash off the oil residue that's been picked up by the oil cleansing step. This step ensures you don’t leave the impurities sitting on top of your skin.
- I WILL CLEANSE SLOWLY
Take your time to massage your face while you cleanse. It’s an opportunity to tone the facial muscles, to relax the jaw, where we store so much stress. Facial massages don’t have to be complicated and the benefits are worth the extra time and effort. Circular motions all across your face is all that is needed to bring blood circulation, oxygen and nutrients to your skin.
- I WILL CLEANSE GENTLY
Don’t be mad at your skin, don’t scrub it and rub it too hard, that will not improve or sustain its health. Choose gentle motions, with light pressure. Spend more time in each little crevice with light circular motions. Learn about what’s in your skin care and choose products with gentle ingredients.
